When we were approached by the client to overhaul their bedroom and en-suite, little did we realise just how wonderful this project in Newport would be.
Having ‘managed’ with a mix of free standing and fitted units in the bedroom, the client wanted to freshen everything up with clean, contemporary fitted bedroom units that would make the very best use of every inch of space, and then refurbish the tiny cloakroom / en-suite.
The bedroom presented us with some creative challenges – we had two ceiling wedges, two beams and a flue stack to contend with. To deal with the flue stack, our craftsmen created a bespoke unit that would go around it, whilst creating an access point through the unit so that the customer can still access the flue for maintenance.
The rest of the room was catered exactly to the needs of the customer and we utilised as much space as possible by hand crafting each unit to fit exactly around the sloping walls and roof line. We even created some hidden storage space above the left hand set of drawers using a pop out angled door.
The en-suite / cloakroom aimed to utilise as much space as possible as it was a very small and a very tricky room to get around. With new, modern units including storage and freshly tiled, it looks smart and contemporary now. Finally, we used cladding to cover the stair wedge.
The room has been transformed as you can see from the pictures.
