When Steve and Michelle first approached Jason at QA they provided him with a challenge: to maximise the space in a relatively small kitchen area. At QA we do love a challenge!
At the start, the discussions involved the possibility of removing an internal wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a more open space. The cost of undertaking the work, the length of time required and the likely mess created, meant we looked at other alternatives.
The QA Design Team got to work and put together a fabulous design that maximised the vertical space available by utilising extra tall, bespoke wall units along with the use of light complementing materials and colours.
The kitchen cabinet doors are high gloss cream slab and the kitchen worktops are in a new Axiom laminate worktop called ‘Thai Beamwood’. The wall tiles were ‘Halo Leaf‘from Craven Dunnill and floor tiles were a wood effect ceramic tile called ‘Timberlux Frassino Silver Grey’. The addition of wood effect ceramic tiles provides the comfort of a wood effect floor without the maintenance of laminate / timber flooring.
Steve and Michelle were delighted that Jason and the team at QA had created their dream space without going to the extra cost and hassle of removing a wall.
